Best Hardstyle Samples

Want to jump straight to the answer? Our choice for the Best Hardstyle Samples is We Like Hard Sounds Vol. 1 from Junkie Kid!

When I first heard of hardstyle I was thinking of the hardstyle pose where you and one other person each kneel down and stare straight at the camera. That always was associated with hardcore and punk music in my mind, but I quickly realized I was wrong. Once I started listening to more hardstyle, I could see exactly why it was called that. Everything about it was hitting hard. The kick and snare are so in your face and drown out everything else around them. It is all about a beat that makes you move coupled with a crazy melody and insane bass drops. Finding hardstyle samples was a lot of fun for this and I got to find a couple of new artists to enjoy along the way.

Quick Look: The Best Hardstyle Samples

What To Look For When Choosing a Hardstyle Sample

In our list, we just looked for the heaviest sounds out there. Hardstyle is all about the saw wave synthesizers and distorted percussion. I personally started liking it when horns were added in these songs and found a couple of hardstyle sample packs that had horns and orchestral sounds included. But there are some factors to keep in mind when looking for hardstyle samples and here are some factors to keep in mind for yourself.

Sample packs are an easy way to widen your sound, but it can break the bank if you are not careful. Buying specific sample packs can make everything a lot easier on yourself but there are times it would be cheaper and more efficient to just get a single sample. Loopcloud and Splice are 2 of the best sample subscriptions that you can get to purchase single samples or the whole pack.

Frequency of Use

The great thing about hardstyle is you can use these percussion sounds over and over again with no issue. That gives you so many uses out of just a few samples.

Skill Level

To work with hardstyle samples and sounds, I would suggest a bit of practice but what better way to practice making beats than with samples from the best? While this genre of electronic music is super compressed and distorted, there are a lot of dynamics built into the songs themselves.

Hardstyle Creativity

Hardstyle is a fun genre because there is so much possibility with it. You can easily take a song in a genre like pop or rock and mix it with hardstyle for a whole new awesome sound. Da Tweekaz did a sick remix of “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana in the style of hardstyle and it sounds incredible. You don’t have to reinvent the entire genre, just look to have fun and make music.
